I just did yard work. I spent 40 minutes pulling weeds. I intend to do this regularly till my tiny yard is weed free. It is going to take a few weeks, I can only do it at dawn/dusk when it isn't too hot and only for so long because of allergies and general ickiness.
It is entirely the fault of heartsease that I am doing this. |

I'm innocent, I tell ya!
Oh... you'll find something you can;t kill. After all, most of my favorite herbs are weeds. :D

You turned her into a weed-pulling machine!
EVIL WENCH
Hey, it burned 5 calories a min! It counts for OW!
Well if you want to lose weight, ripping up weeds is da bomb! And you can turn it into a whole human-against-nature thing and have fun with it. *nods*
We're purposely letting the woods reclaim the yard. A well-kept lawn is one of the most environmentally destructive things you can do.
We don't have a lawn as such, we have some of what were once flower beds around the house and some trees. The weeds are mostly dead and in CA they become a huge fire hazard, I don't particularly want to water weeds all summer like I did last year. I am going to attempt to grow herbs and maybe some veggies in the flower beds. We already have 2 fruit trees. With the incredibly long growing season getting started late should be fine for some things, plus it'll be ready to really do stuff next year. Baby steps. | |
